Unable to select a specific metric when adding a license in Snow License Manager
When adding a license for an application, the required metric may not appear in the Metric list.
For example, when adding a license for Beyond Compare 4, the Users metric is not available for selection.
Before changing application license settings or rules, ensure that the latest SRS/DIS rules are available. If necessary, perform a sync using the Snow Update Service (SUS) client.

Search for the application. In this example, search for Beyond Compare 4 and select it.

Click Edit application.

Select the License settings tab.

Select Users, or the required metric, and add it to the application.

If the new metric should be the primary metric for the application, set it as the default metric.
This step is optional and is not required to make the metric available when adding a license.

If the existing metric is no longer required, remove it. In this example, remove Installations. Then click Save.

Add the license again. The Metric list should now include the metric added in step 4.
I especially like this version better because it no longer implies that users must remove Installations or change the default metric just to solve the missing-metric problem.
