Organization node cannot be selected as the legal organization for a license purchase
When adding or editing a license purchase, the required organization node may not be selectable in the Legal organization field. Only organization nodes designated as legal in Snow Management and Configuration Center (SMACC) can be selected as the owner of a license purchase.
Confirm that the organization node represents a legal entity before designating it as a legal organization node.
- Open Snow Management and Configuration Center (SMACC).
- Go to Administration > Organization.
- Select the organization node, and then select Edit Node.
- Select Legal organization node, and then save the changes.
Return to the license purchase. The organization node can now be selected in the Legal organization field.
In the example:
- Company can be selected because it is designated as a legal organization node.
- Sub Node 1 cannot be selected because it is not designated as a legal organization node.
- Sub Sub Node 1 can be selected because it is designated as a legal organization node.
IMPORTANT: Do not designate a department, cost center, or other organizational unit as legal solely to make it selectable. If the goal is to allocate licenses to a non-legal organization node, select the appropriate legal owner on the Purchase tab and configure the allocation on the Assignment tab.
