Support: Oracle data is not inventoried via Snow Inventory Agent for Windows

Environment

Analysis

• Permissions was checked once more and it showed that Client didn’t have all permissions.

Resolution

• The permissions needed were change in last SIOS documentation, after verification and assigning everything works fine.
• Added more permissions to the account being used for the scan of the Client solved the issue

WINDOWS

• In Windows the Oracle Scanner is run with an administrative user account (Local Admin on the server).

LINUX AND UNIX

• In Linux and Unix there are two privilege options for running the Oracle Scanner, and each option is described in the sections below.

FULL PRIVILEGES

• A user with root privileges or a user with privileges to run the Java runtime with the sudo program is required.
