Configure organization assignments in Snow Atlas
This article describes how to configure an Organization assignment rule in Snow Atlas. The procedure ensures that computers within your environment are correctly assigned to the appropriate organizational node.

Log in to Snow Atlas and, from the main page, select Snow Atlas settings.

Open Organization structure and confirm that the required organization structure exists.
Before creating an organization assignment rule, familiarize yourself with the existing organization structure so you can configure the rule correctly.
In this example, we will assign a computer to the UK SME node within the SME Root organization.

After confirming that the UK SME node exists in the organization structure, select SAM Core in Snow Atlas.

Create an organization assignment rule to assign the Snow device to the UK SME part of the organization.

In this example, the organization assignment rule uses the following values:
- Attribute: Hostname
- Function: Contains
- Value: The hostname of the device

When a device enters the Snow Atlas environment and its computer information matches an organization assignment rule, the device is automatically moved to the corresponding organization in the Computers section.

In this example, go to Computers > Information and confirm that the device shows the correct organization assignment.
