Resolving legacy Java and middleware values in API after device removal
When devices are deleted, Java and Oracle Middleware data may still appear in the API because these components are not removed during the standard clean-up process. This happens when the required clean-up settings are not enabled in the configuration.
- Navigate to Settings.
- Go to SAM Core Settings > Oracle Management.
- Enable Clean-Up by ticking the following options:
-
- Delete Java installations considered to be uninstalled
- Delete Oracle Middleware installations considered to be uninstalled
- Allow Clean-Up to run.
After enabling these options, the clean-up process will execute automatically, typically completing within 24 hours.
- Verify API data.
When the clean-up has finished, confirm that the API reflects the correct values and that any legacy Java and Middleware entries have been removed.
These settings ensure that Java and Middleware data are properly aligned with device removal. No manual intervention is required after enabling the options, as the system handles the clean-up automatically.
