InventorySettings.xml - Recognition Rules: Build, Release, and Content Details in ComplianceDB

Flexera Agent relies on the InventorySettings.xml file for inventory collection activities, including Oracle and other inventory data. The contents of this InventorySetting file are delivered through Content Updates. Once a content update is successfully imported, the MasterConfigurationFileVersions table in the Compliance database is updated with the latest rules and configurations, along with the corresponding build and release information.

The MasterConfigurationFileSelection table is then updated to reference the highest available version from the MasterConfigurationFileSelection table.

The InventorySettings.xml file is generated during the Beacon Policy Update process. The file is then distributed to Flexera Agents through the standard Agent Policy Update mechanism.
