Explanation
In OracleOvsService method ProcessOvsHostDataAsync parsing or validation of all hardware files except sim_hostdetails.json failed. The Snow License Manager Virtualization Service runs on the SLM application server and gathers the vSphere virtualization topology data. The error indicates that the service was able to bring over the host computer but it could not be parsed or validated.
Troubleshooting
To troubleshoot this issue perform the following:
- First verify that the latest version of the Snow Agent and scanner have been deployed on this computer. If not, run the upgrades and if the issue persists, continue troubleshooting.
- Verify that Snow Inventory Manager (SIM) connectors that retrieve the topology are running correctly.
- If you have not remedied the issue, please open a new case with Snow Support, providing the following information and observations you've collected during this troubleshooting:
- All relevant software versions (Snow License Manager, Snow Inventory, SIM)
- A screenshot of the Information tab for the computer to show the value displayed for Host computer name
- A snowpack with agent logging set to verbose with OMO, OVS and Virtualization logs.
