Managing Orphaned IP Addresses Assigned to Network Fencing
When the connection between Commander and a vCenter Cloud Account is interrupted during deployment of services including Fenced Networks, some of the IP addresses associated with the fenced VMs may be listed as Out of Inventory.
You will notice that the VM associated with that deployment may not be created in the vCenter, however Commander will still have its configuration file (.vmx) showing in the datastore.
Right click on the location of the .vmx file and choose Configuration Management and then Delete From Disk.
You will then notice that the IP address assigned to the Out of Inventory VM is now available in the list of IP Pool.
Similarly you can clean up the other Out of Inventory VM files to make the IPs available in the IP Pool.
