Microsoft SQL Server License Assignment Shows "No Eligible Application Installed"
After assigning a Microsoft SQL Server license in Snow License Manager, one or more computers may display the warning: No eligible application installed.
This issue can occur when the assigned SQL Server license is expected to cover installations of different SQL Server editions, but Cross edition rights is not enabled on the license.
- Open the SQL Server license record in Snow License Manager.
- Verify whether the computers displaying the warning are running a different SQL Server edition than the edition specified by the license.
- Enable Cross edition rights on the license.
- Run the data update job.
- Verify that the warning is no longer displayed after the update completes.
