How to change the log level for the Snow Software Event Warehouse Service?
Purpose
- The purpose of this article is to show you the steps to change the logging level for the Snow Software Event Warehouse Service for troubleshooting purposes.
- We will be editing the windows registry. You may wish to backup / export the relevant section of the registry before you start.
Environment
- Snow License Manager 9.X.X
Steps
- Stop the Snow Software Event Warehouse Service.
- Load up the Windows Registry and navigate to: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SnowEventWarehouse
- Right Click on ImagePath and select Modify:
- Once loaded, add the following to the end of the string: -loglevel debug, so it will look like this:
- Once done, select ok, close the registry and start the Snow Software Event Warehouse Service.
- Once the service has started, this will commit the new logging level and from the new log file time stamp, you should now see the following:
