Generate an encrypted Oracle password

Follow the steps below to produce an encrypted password for Oracle scanning.

1. Plug the required information into the snowagent.config template (SiteName, ConfigurationName, etc)

2. Once the snowagent.config is ready, head on to your test environment

3. Open Snow Inventory Server Admin Console

4. Log in to Snow Inventory

5. Go to Configurations

6. Click on Import from file

7. On the new screen, click Import configuration button

8. Navigate to where the snowagent.config and click Open button

9.Click Next

10.Check the details before click Next button

11.On the Oracle screen, provide the customer password for the specified Oracle user

Note: The password will be in clear text here but once the configuration is generated, the password written in the snowagent.config will be encrypted.

12. Click the Next button

13. Check the System Settings, then click Save button

14. The Configurations will be listed and available to be downloaded

15. Select the newly generated Configuration

16. Click the Export to file icon to save it and use this as part of the Snow Agent Package Generation

17. Open the exported snowagent.config using Notepad and there you will see the encrypted password

You are now ready to use this snowagent.config to build the Snow Agent package.
